"In the same newspaper," isn't totally correct. SRF's press release was written up by the Los Angeles Times the venerable newspaper of Los Angeles.

The "charges" of Erskine were printed in a free newspaper (what used to be called in the 60's an underground newspaper) the New Times Los Angeles. They have since stopped publication in LA.

Kriyananda's statement, it is my understanding was printed in the next issue of New Times LA after the story appeared.

Also the yoganandarediscovered.com website is an Ananda creation. They run ad's in various new age type free magazines here in the LA area directing interested persons to their website with a picture of Yoganandaji in the ad and words to the effect SRF has changed Yogananda's teachings. Personally I am not in favor of this ad as I think people with little knowledge of the ongoing tension between the 2 organizations will be misled to "throw the baby out with the bath water."

SRF after all is the organization Yoganandaji founded to print his writings and disseminate them to interested persons. They do an excellent job of this, in my estimation; with the proviso that some of the changes made after his demise I find personally wrong, but that's just my own opinion. Other's find nothing amiss in this.
