Hi david, hope all is well. Happy Valentines Day, do you and your wife have plans? did u buy flowers and candy? :) for her? anyway, just I am doing a paper for class and am struggling. It is a paper on Justice. We have to narrow it down to one aspect of justice, it is also a persuasive paper. Well, i chose mentally challenged people and what is justice to and for them, of course depending on the severity of their claim of instability. I have scoure your criminology site, and have not found quite what i am looking for. so i thought if you have a moment you may give me some ideas. k. I am looking for some evidence to back up and my claim of Jusitce being a way to heal, for example South Africa's ubuntu "social harmony", but how do we as a society go about serving justice, not punitively (spelling, sorry) but rehabilitating and reforming the insane, the repeat offenders who are children and adults with disabilities and handicaps who commit crimes. Is there a way to serve this type of justice to one who may not be able to comprehend the magnitude of the situation that they had created for themselves? Please if you have a moment let me know what you think, and if you have any references you can guide me to, i would appreciate it. Sincerely hope all is well. A hug for V-Day. your friend lisaS.
ps, anyone reading this, feel free to respond. thanks greatly.
