Frank,

Our golf clubs are not gender specific; in fact, many of our customers are women golfers (my wife and daughter are good examples). Most companies offer a separate line of golf clubs for women which are basically the same as the mens but have higher loft angles and brighter colors. In my opinion this is nothing short of ridiculous and is intended solely as a marketing ploy.

The left-handed set of clubs you purchased from us in 2002 were not manufactured by us as we did not offer left-handed clubs at that time. We built this set using L/H components as a special order for you. You will find that our L/H 1 Irons are identical to our R/H version and are of the highest quality available in the entire golf industry.

At the present time it is not economically feasible for us to manufacture our 1 Iron woods in a L/H version. Although left-handers make up approximately 15% of the total population they only account for approximately 5% of total golf club sales. My understanding is that most L/H golfers become frustrated when trying to purchase a set of quality L/H golf clubs (as you mention), so they learn to play right-handed at a young age.

Thanks, David for your reply.
I received my 1iron set (Lefthanded Demo)today. Indeed, it is the same quality as the righthanded sets. The clubs appear to be in new condition and are very attractive. I will take them to the range shortly. My original set, made by you, was given to my wife to try. She has about the same WTF measure as mine. She hit at the range for 2 days then used them Tuesday at our golf league. We have been playing in a 9 hole golf league for about 4 years, and she has to make 3 points in 9 holes (calaway system?), but has only made 3 points once in 4 years. Using the original iron set, she scored 5 points and just missed 3 puts which would have given her 8 points. She also was just beaten out for closest to the pin on one par 3 hole. She is really excited about your clubs. Thanks again.
By the way, what do you recommend for a 3 & 5 wood for lefthanders? Can you put together a quality club for us?

I am also a left hannded golfer who is looking for a set of woods and driver to compliment the 1irons. I look forward in earnest to david's reply. Have tried cutting my woods and driver shaft with only moderate success.

Frank,

My advice would be to visit a local custom clubmaker and try out a few left handed fairway woods. The advantage of the custom clubmaker is that he can build the clubs to any length you desire. I would look for clubhead lie angles of between 58º and 60º and a club length of 39" for both the #3 and #5 woods.
