Shaft deflection in the context of promulgated custom fitting analysis is meaningless. The reason for this is that there are over 20 different sections along the length of a golf shaft that require separate frequency or deflection measurements. The promulgated idea of taking just one frequency or deflection measurement for the entire shaft length combines all of the individual measurements into one and completely ignores golf shaft dynamics. I guarantee you that two different shaft designs producing identical overall frequency or deflection measurements can produce vastly different playing results when shafted into identical clubheads.

Our shafts were designed using the ideal deflection, loading, unloading, and torsional resistance properties in relation to our specific clubhead design parameters. These shaft design parameters vary in 20 different steps along the length of the shaft to within approximately 6” of the butt end of the shaft to allow for custom club length adjustment without affecting shaft dynamics. The result is a precise mechanical match between clubhead and shaft which produces unmatched performance.
