Subject: WTF and Swing technique

Why does the 1iron WTF measurement instructions specify using jogging shoes? Jogging shoes seem to vary greatly in heel height. Why not use the golfer's specific golf shoes or have the measurement taken barefoot? My jogging shoes seem to add at least a half inch compared to my golf shoes.

2. I have read quite a bit on the concept of single length clubs and there is a lot of reference to some kind of technique or special swing to eventually be able to get the length of standard long irons. What is this special swing? Can I not use my current seven iron swing? What am I missing? Does the 1iron system include rebuilding my conventional swing other than reducing it to a seven iron swing?

Bill,

1) The reason that we request jogging shoes is that the heel height is typically 1". Golf shoes will not work because of the additional height that the spikes add. You can take the measurement in bare feet and then add 1" to the measurement as an alternative.

2) There is no special swing or method that is required with 1 Iron Golf clubs. You are correct in that you already have the single swing required for a set of our clubs; however, it is buried in with the other ten or so swings that you currently use when playing your standard set of clubs.

You will realize the same or added distance with our #3 iron compared to your own the first day at the range. You will certainly notice a huge difference in consistent solid ball striking with our #3 or #4 irons over standard length ones.
