In testing for the Maltby Playablility factor only the #5 iron is examined. Therefore, only the #5 iron of a particular brand and line of irons is categorized per their criteria, ie: Ultra Game Improvement. The rest of the irons within a particular set may be classifed much lower since the design specifications vary for every iron in the set. This is most often the case with the #3 and #4 irons but can certainly include the #7 iron through LW as well.

In a set of 1 Irons all of the irons (#3 through LW) have the exact same design specifications with the exception of loft angle. Consequently, every iron within a set of 1 Irons would be classified as Ultra Game Improvement per the Maltby Playability Factor criteria. 1 Irons are the only brand/line of irons on the market that can make this claim.

To answer your question of why choose 1 Irons:
No other brand/line of golf clubs are offered or even designed for single-length play. This in itself produces the highest playability factor of any golf club design that we have ever tested.

As a side note:
Name any other brand listed as Ultra Game Improvement that offers a 30-day money back guarantee. Name any other brand in any playability category that allows you to beat the clubs to death for a month and then will refund your entire purchase price if you are not satisfied. We are the only ones who can offer this kind of guarantee and it's simply because we know that our 1 Irons are the most playable clubs in the golf industry.

Thanks for the reply. I was not aware of the "5iron" testing. As a side note do your fairway woods have ultra game improvement as well.

The Maltby Playability Factor testing is for irons only. However, our fairway woods are designed with the same playability features as our irons.

once again thanks. I was wondering about the WTF measurement. when you supply information, is that based on completed length or shaft length.

It is the club length. Club length measurement is taken by placing the golf club in the address position with the scoring lines on the clubface parallel to the ground, and then measuring directly alongside the shaft from the butt-end of the grip to the point where the shaft would intersect the ground if it protruded from the heel of the clubhead.
