Subject: looking for feedback on the longer short-irons

Just wondering what people's experience is with the longer short-irons.
Hitting with a shorter 3-iron is great, but what is it like hitting with a longer sand-wedge or lob-wedge? Is it awkward? Take a lot of getting used to?

If you have the 3-PW iron set, have you also purchased the short irons from 1 Iron? Or do you still use "traditional" gap/sand/lob wedges along with your 1 Irons?

Hi,
I play the 4-PW, GW, SW, AND LW.
I can tell you it does take some getting used to, as does the entire concept...but after two months and several thousand practice balls I now find traditional wedges uncomfortable and am very dialed in with my 1iron wedges. I strongly suggest going with the entire wedge set to keep your body in that one swing plane through out. The more clubs you use that are a different length, the more your body will need to remember. If you want to benefit the most from this technology go with the whole set.
You won't regret it!!

Dittos to Mark. I play all the irons. It's the best way to groove the concept. Plus, if you feel the need to grip down on short shots, you can do that as well. Good luck.
