Kent,

As a general rule I carry The #3 iron through LW plus a #3 wood and driver along with the putter. If I am playing a tight course with high rough I will substitute a #7 wood for the #3 wood.

I carry 3 through Lob, driver, 3 and 5 woods + a Lovett wedge. I end up with 16, but if I had to stick to 14 for a tournament, etc. I'd either drop the 5wood and one of the sand wedges or the 3 iron and one of the sand wedges. Ultimately I think I'd drop the 3iron. The 5 wood would probably suffice.

kent, If I take a 5 wood and 3 wood, I take out my lob wedge, when there is deep rough on a course, I almost have to use my 5 wood to get out of it. Otherwise I use my 3 iron thru lob wedge and a 3 wood and driver. I am considering getting a 7 wood from david also, I hit my woods very straight now, and wonder if the 7 wood would come out of deep rough easier than 5 wood.
