Subject: Great distance

I've really been crankin' these irons since I got them last month. After 30 years of golf I'm not used to hitting any irons as far as my 1-irons. I'm flying my #3 iron past the 210 yard marker shot after shot. I've picked up about ten yards with every iron not to mention the fact that my miss hit percentage has gone down to practically zero.

It took me about a week to get past the mental break-in period that's pointed out in the playability tips but once I got past this the rest has been heaven.

You might be trying to hit it like a standard #3 iron instead of how you're supposed to be hitting it. You don't say how you're hitting your #4 or #5 iron but if you're hitting them good you've got to remember that they're identical to your #3 iron. For that matter your PW is the same as your #3 iron and are you hitting that good? I'd go through the playability tips again and again and really follow what they're trying to tell you. I just nick the turf through impact with all the irons and never take a divot

Hi Jasper

I have had the irons a few weeks and am sticking to the playability tips and have not used the other irons much.
I have to stick at it until I get it.

Steve: I also had a hard time with the 3-iron until I realized I was just trying to hit it too hard "because it was my long iron" and I was swaying on both the backswing and the downswing. So, I cut my swing down to a 3/4, limited turn swing, and worked on keeping my lower body (waist & down) still, thru the entire swing. I also had to reprogram my mind to think "7-iron" while swinging. After a few sessions at the range, I started to finally realize that all the irons swing exactly the same. If you can hit any one of them, you can hit them all! Good luck to you and let us know how things go. Have a great day. R2

I am starting to hit the 3 iron better. I just have to stick to the playability tips. I know I am on the right track I just have to be patient as the swing for these clubs is different from what I have employed over many years of golfing and it is going to take time. Thanks for your advice.

I've got to say that these are the best irons I've ever played. Not only are they excellent workmanship and solid but they feel smooth during the swing and through impact. My shots are straight and true with much better distance than my old irons. I can work the ball at will with plenty of back spin.
