Subject: Unbelievable!!

I received my Used/Demo set of irons plus all of the wedges and #3 wood last week. First of all, the Used/Demo irons looked brand new to me. The high level of design and workmanship was immediately apparent and the clubs feel like they belong in my hands. The balance and feel are truly fantastic, far better than any I have ever played.

On my first trip to the range I followed the Playability Tips that were emailed to me using half swings to get the feel and timing down. On the second day I exceeded the Tips and hit full shots with every club. The #3 wood was like hitting butter and all of the shots flew about 10 yards farther than my Ping #3 wood. The irons took some getting used to since I had to learn to hit the #3 iron with the same swing I was using with the #8 and #9 iron and wedges (my irons are #8 iron length). It sounds simple but I can attest to the fact that it's hard to swing an iron with #3 written on the bottom the same as you swing with your #8 iron. It took me half a bucket to mentally get past this and when I did I started nailing the #3 iron like a pro. I estimate my distance with the #3 iron at 200 yards carry which is 10 to 12 yards farther than my Ping #3 when I nail it (not very often). I hit 30 balls with both the #3 and #4 and didn't have a single miss-hit. I hit all of the irons and wedges with the same consistency and averaged about 5 yards extra distance with each one.

I'm extremely impressed to say the least and glad I made the leap. I wish that I'd done this a few years earlier.

Ron,

Good review. Congrats on your new purchase and your early success.

I would assume your distances, although quite good at this point, will get even better. Your starting out at 200. Wow. You might be hitting that 3 iron 310-315 once you become really comfortable. Keep us posted.

Michael
