ted, kind of fun isnt it? I lost some distance too, I bought a set last year. I went out yesterday for the first time, and I have been practicing most of the winter releasing my wrists. I bought a momentus swing trainer, and it has really helped me to "feel" what the release is supposed to be like. My buddy was with me yesterday, he hit a 6 iron on a par 3, I hit a 7 iron we both went over the green, he is usually a half a club to club farther than me. I was very pleased with my distance and ball flight my first round out. I shot a 45 for 9 holes under very windy conditions, and I 3 putted 8 greens. The greens havent been mowed yet, and they are very very slow. Your distance will come up somewhat, my first set of regular irons were also slightly stronger lofts, so I expected a difference there. good luck, hit em straight, glassman

I did'nt lose any distance. I gained about 5 yards with each iron and at least ten yards with the woods.

I am glad ted, each year I golf I try to improve on my golf swing, I dont want to just keep hitting balls like I did when I started golfing. This year I have been practicing fully releasing my wrists, my first round I hit tremendous driver and woods and irons. I am trying a new putting stance, I 3 putted 8 or 9 greens, and our greens are in terrible shape, but I was dumbfounded by how well I am hitting my irons. I was long on a couple of shots, because of my wrist release, so I think I am on the right track. good luck ted,,,,,ed
