Subject: consistency

Just came back from a frustrating golf trip where consistency was the issue...Found this site and read your comments about testing golfers swing speeds when they think they have a higher numbered clubs...while on this trip I could hit a 7-PW pretty darn well...but everything else was pretty darn inconsistent...at one time I was high 80's/lo 90's...now low 100s - to blowing up on the course.

I live in VA not far from Bristow...I like the game but get very frustrated when I dribble a ball across the tee box after a previous drive of 220 via 3 wood...

My question is will a club fix this issue or does it take a lessons also?

The answers to your question are yes - this is a club fix; and no - you do not need to take lessons. What you have to remember is that when playing conventional golf clubs you will be using up to twelve different swings, addresses, and ball positions. Each shot is therefore completely different than the one before making it impossible to play with any consistency. When playing 1 Irons you are, in essence, playing a round of golf with only a single iron and a single fairway wood. Your set-up, swing, and ball position are the same shot after shot - this level of consistency has to be experienced to be believed.

You mentioned that you hit your #7 iron very well and this should tell you that you already own the one swing, address and ball position necessary to play a set of 1 Irons. Thus, no lessons are necessary.

You won't believe the improvement in consistency that 1 Iron Golf clubs produce. Take advantage of their 30-day return period and see for yourself because the most you'd be out is $30 or so in shipping costs back and forth.
