Subject: 1 Iron offset comparison?

I am interested in taking a serious look at the 1 Iron concept. I would consider myself a decent golfer..high 70's and avg. 2 hours practice time and 2-3 rounds of golf per week. I am currently playing a set of Titleist 704CB's with S300 stiff steel shafts. My biggest concern is the offset of 1 Iron irons compared to what I'm used to playing. I tend to overdraw clubs with a big offset. What is your recommendation? I should also mention I am a Todd Graves / Moe Norman wanna be....;)

Tony,

The offset of our irons is 3.175mm or .125". This is comparable to the offset of your 704CB #6 and #5 irons which are .12" and .13".

Tony: My first message above. Practiced with 1Irons +5&7 woods for second time today. I am also learning the GGA/Moe Norman swing. I found that when I played all clubs from the middle of my stance as suggested by David Lake I tended to either hit a straight push or hook. I went back to the Single Axis swing set up and one small adjustment made everything work very well. That change was to keep my hands centered and keep the club aligned with my lead arm; thus starting the swing with the club head about 4 inches behind the ball. I'm still working with a half to 3/4 swing; very relaxed and just trying to find the sweet spot. I again achieved the same accuracy with all clubs... PW through 5 wood. No problem with the offset with this set up and swing.

I still have a problem with the lob wedge, however. I couldn't get it today. It just seems to set up wrong for my eye and my swing. Why just this one club?
