Steve, your comments made me have to say:
I also have had trouble with the 1 Iron woods (3 wood & driver). The irons, from the 3-pw are the best clubs I have ever hit with.

But with the woods: I tried David's practice tips, to no good result(not his fault). I tried everything, but could not get the woods to hit the ball the way I was hitting with the irons. I got the clubs in Jan this year,( and we play all winter here) so I did really try to hit them correctly. Finally, I choked down on the club to make the same length as the irons, using the same iron stance and ball position, and away she went! ureka! So I guess I have the same question that you have. Could the woods shaft be too long for me?

Within the past month or so I purchased a set of
>David's clubs (3iron - LW; 3,5,7 wood and driver).

hey guys, I didnt have much luck either at first with davids woods. I find I have to swing much farther from the inside with the woods than the irons. Once I figured out how to swing the woods, and not over swing, it made a huge difference. good luck,,,,ed
