I fail to understand the dissapointment in not having the 63o wedge, And I understand about the distance issue, But it is no big deal just opening up the face a bit and taking the same swing. Or just placing the ball a tad forward. does the trick.

I understand about one swing and letting the club do the work, but dont limit yourself to just the club doing the work, every week I go and practice fades draws, low and high shots, That part does not change. But if you only have a stock shot, you may have trouble getting to the next level. I have tried a 64o in one of my 1iron sets,
it was not worth it. I was always short. I have 2 1iron sets one I made and the newer design. But I would be curious to try a 1iron 63o..pedro

Hey Pedro.

I guess my dissapointment comes from the conventional wedges I play and there distances. It sounds like I am not at the same level as yourself, hitting draws and fades, but I do practice 1/2 and 3/4 swings with the wedges for the distances they generate. I don't think I'd get too many arguments here, but if I have the choice to hit full swing with a club to get the desired distance vs having to take a 1/2 swing, the full swing shot is going to win every time.

With my current conventional wedges I would hit them:

PW- 120 yds
GW- 110 yds
SW- 90 yds
LW- 75 yds

I'd like to have a 63* to come close to matching the distance of my current LW, that is all. Is this going to stop me from buying a set of 1Irons, probably not, but it would help me to buy a set.
