I have had my 1 Iron clubs for two weeks. Today I shot 2 over par for 18 holes. I hit 3 iron many times off the tee on the longer holes. I only hit driver twice today.

My previous best score on the course I played today was a 7 over par. I feel pretty confident that these clubs are making a difference, because I have only had them for two weeks.

There are two things I appreciate about my new irons. First, I am very confident with the long irons. This has never been true of my game previously. Second, the short irons fly really high. This means balls are sticking on the greens where previously they would have rolled off the back of the green. This means I am having a lot more chances at birdie (I converted three today).

I would not consider myself a "good" golfer yet, but I can see where getting clubs that fit sure makes a difference. I am having a lot of fun with these clubs. Now I just need to save up a little money for a driver, 3 wood, and some wedges.

Michael

I find these clubs amazing. I have lost distance, about 1 club through the back. But the improvement in consistency is amazing. It was "hard" to force oneself to hit a 7 when I used to hit an 8. However, the outcome is better almost 100% of the time. And I now really look forward to the long par 3s (I still hit the 3 200yards, which is sufficient for pretty much any long par 3 on most courses), as I always will het the green and most other people in my group do not. As many people have mentioned, the playablity tips are the key. You need to be VERY stable, a slight amount of swaying and everything goes to hell. For some reason with normal clubs swaying works "better", but the 1iron swing also is tighter for me and so much better on my back that I have a hard time believing it. I am shooting in the high 70s/low 80s again and I can play the next day without pain, something I didn't use to be able to do for the last couple of years.
However, I also tried the driver and this club didn't work for me at all - I hit my old one straighter and about 30-40 yards longer - a 12 degree driver is too much for most mid to low handicappers, but I can see how it would help a high handicapper.

Best Clubs I have ever bought!

The following is a post made by David Lake a couple of months ago and I found it to be very true. The fact is that you may think you've lost distance or gained distance with a particular iron when in reality you're hitting it the same distance as another iron with the same loft angle - the number on the bottom of the club means nothing.

Here's David's Post:

"There is no standardization in the golf industry as to loft angles. This means that one manufacturer's #7 iron might be the equivalent of another manufacturer's #6 or #5 iron. Many golf club manufacturers will make their irons with "strong" loft angles in order to give the illusion that their golf clubs produce increased distance. You have heard golfers say it a thousand times: "I can hit this #8 iron a lot farther then my old #8 iron". The fact is that they can't. What they can do is hit an 8 iron with a 35º loft angle farther than an 8 iron with a 39º loft angle. When we speak of distance increases using 1 Iron Golf clubs we are referring to the increases you will get as a result of consistent solid ball contact coupled with the dynamics of clubhead design and shaft optimization. Typically, our customers will hit our 39º loft angle iron farther than their old 39º loft angle iron for exactly these reasons. You cannot compare one manufacturer's numbered iron with that of another manufacturer; you have to compare loft angles. It just comes down to a comparison of apples to apples."
