Rob,

The reason that you hit your PW so pure is that it is the only iron in your bag that comes close to fitting you properly. At your W-T-F measurement all of your 1 Irons would be the approximate length of a conventional wedge.

Bear in mind that our irons are not the length of a #7 iron, but rather, the length of a properly fitted short/mid iron based upon your W-T-F measurement (the key point is properly fitted).

Gotcha. So I'm wondering if I should go buy a standard conventional wedge and try hitting a bucket with it to see if that is the right length. My folks had my irons made for me when I was a bit younger and they are "custom fitted" 1/2 inch shorter then standard. I don't know a whole lot about what the lengths should be but after poking around a bit on the net it seems my PW should measure in at 35" (-.5" from 35.5 standard). I guess I really want to get a feel for what the length should be then go find a club that long and go whack it a bunch of times...

Rob,

You can certainly do what you suggest; however, using only one iron for your test will not come close to illuminating the benefits of having a whole set of irons built to your correct club length. In other words, you will be able to see how you hit a PW that is the correct length but you will not be able to extrapolate those results to hitting a #3 iron of the same club length. In addition, you will be out the cost of this test club.

This is one of the reasons that we offer a 30-day money back guarantee - so that you can fully test a complete set of irons at your convenience for a full month.
