Subject: Trying to understand concept better...

Hi David,

One comment/question for you:

The reason clubs are 1/2 inch longer than each preceding club is because with all things constant (your swing), the club head will be traveling faster than the shorter club. This compensates for the decrease in loft. Therefore, each longer, lower loft club has a lower trajectory, but increased clubhead speed to compensate, which results in a longer distance. With the 1 Iron system, there is nothing to compensate for the lower trajectory. So theoretically, a 3 iron will have a lower trajectory, but no more distance. In fact, it will lose distance because the ball will be airborne for less time. How does the 1 Iron system create further distances without increasing clubhead speed (given that nobody, especially bad golfers, can control their swing speed)?

And yes, on your website it says you get more distance because you can memorize just 1 swing instead of 12. However, that doesn't explain how a 3 iron with the same clubhead speed as a 9 iron will go farther.

Best,

Alex

Alex,

Club length within the normal parameters of golf club design has absolutely no affect on distance. If you read through the FAQs page of our website this is thoroughly explained.
