Subject: paitently waiting

Well I Took the plunge, and ordered an entire set [D,3w,3i-lw]. The thing that did it for me was Dave stated you dont hit the 8i fat but you do so with the wedges, this is my problem. since I am a long hitter i have wedges in my hands more often than not. I carry 5 from [pw,sw,lw xlw.xxlw]50 deg to 70 deg. i lose an average of 10 strokes per round due to fat shots...m

Finally! Someone else giving love to the extreme loft wedges! I'm with ya matt. Where do you find yourself using them? On chips and pitches? Or just on "full" shots and use more traditional wedges for the short game? (although I guess it's always a little short with a 70 degree wedge)

Yep, mt 70deg is a wonderful club. on a full shot i can drop it into a 5 gallon bucket 45 yards with such regulairty it gets boring, [my buddies hate me]...hehehe, I do most chips with the 65 deg stops like a butterfly with sore feet...I'm gonna have to "DAVID LAKE" some replacements because i cannot contemplate a round without them...m

I play a 73, and actually get it to go 60-70 yards pretty regularly (it also doesn't always go quite as insanely high as I'd expect, so maybe I'm delofting it a bit, but it's still definitely an airball). I've only had it for a few weeks, but I love it. I'm beginning to have no fear on even the most improbable short shot, and for me it's also a legitimate yardage club, not just a "specialty" thing. Finding something like it with David's specs would be heaven.

Paul, Yep i can get mine to go that far [70 deg] but im much more comfortable at 45 yards, if i need to go 70 yds i use the 65 deg, i like a controlled swing with these clubs, they have a tendency of going under the ball without moving it, just cutting the grass under them...m
