Jeff,

The combination of clubhead lie angle and club length (based upon the golfer's W-T-F measurement) dictates the correct distance to stand from the ball at address. However, this can only be determined by the individual golfer after a number of trips to the range with their new 1 Irons. Having us state what this correct distance is and then having the golfer show up at the range with a ruler, protractor, plumb bob, and so forth is an exercise in futility. In order for a golfer to acclimate themselves properly to the single-length system they must spend time at the range, and through repetition develop their own feel for the proper distance to stand from the ball.

Since all 1 irons have the same lie it makes sense that the shortest golfer(in height)stands closer to the ball. The taller you are the greater the distance to the ball. Thats the way I see it.
