Subject: have you tried glucosamin/chondroitin?

David, sorry to hear about your frustration--I too fight arthritis but it definitely sounds like you have a tougher row to hoe.

For years now I've been taking a supplement that combines glucosamin and chondroitin, substances that the body needs to properly produce healthy lubicrated joints. The theory is that as you get older the body produces less of those substances, but if it gets them it can still do its work. This actually started out as a vetrinary treatment for horses and dogs. I'm convinced I couldn't be playing golf (or typing comfortably) without it. You can find it in drugstores these days; sometimes they sell them separately but usually combined. It's not a miracle cure and it took three or four weeks before I began to notice an improvement, but it definitely helps me.

Good luck.
