David,

My new 1-Irons (3 - PW) arrived last week. The first trip to the range I could not hit the 3-5 irons very well. The second trip I hit them better but still less distance than I am used to. By the third trip to the range I was hitting them like a professional and had people standing there watching me nail shot after shot. You are right about a breaking in period where you have to unconsciously relearn your swing to accomodate irons that fit you after playing with off-the-rack clubs for so many years. My new distance and accuracy are stunning and the one length has improved my ball striking by 100%.
