Subject: First 2 weeks

I received my clubs about 2 weeks ago and thought I would share my experiences since then. Before purchasing the clubs, I was on this forum reviewing everyones experiences for almost a month before taking the plunge. So, hopefully, this posting will help someone who is also considering the 1 iron clubs.

As I already emailed to David, I was immediately impressed with the quality and finish of the clubs, and I absolutely love the grips.

My first time out I followed the "tips" and went with the 3 iron. Because I anticipated a length of a "conventional" 8 iron based on WTF my measurements, I had been exclusively hitting my old 8 iron for about 2 weeks before receiving the new clubs. My new clubs were just about the same length (a little less). The swing transition was easy but it took about a bucket of balls before I started to see my 3 iron fly around 185 yards in a very consistent direction. It was wonderful to be hitting my 3 iron so consistently with good distance. After a time (different practice session), I moved to the other clubs with the same consistency and yardage, and eventually brought out the driver. Again, after a bucket of balls, I was hitting consistently around 250 yards and STRAIGHT! This was about my same yardage with my old driver.

Yesterday I was again at the range and now started to feel like I could pick up the swing speed a bit. For the first time, I hit my driver and landed the ball just short of the far fence on 2 bounces. The fence is 300 yards away! Overall, this was by far the best practice session that I have ever hit with my driver.

I also hit my 4, 5, 6, and 7 irons and felt incredibly confident with every swing. Not having to adjust the "swing plane" and set-up for every iron, especially going from one extreme (3 iron) to another (PW), is amazing.

I am taking David's advice and waiting another 2 weeks to become completely comfortable with the clubs before playing a round. But so far, I have to say that I am completely delighted with the clubs. I also purchased the wedges and 3 and 5 woods. They also feel very comfortable to swing...and CONSISTENT!

I hope this helps anyone who may be considering a purchase. I will continue to post any new revelations and results of my first rounds of play.

I am one happy golfer! Both with the clubs and the great customer service.

I am just curious as what your game is like pre 1 Iron. What do you shoot. The reason I ask is I shoot about 115-120 and am considering them.

I was consistently around mid 90's while almost breaking 90 a couple of times and in the low 100's a few times (not good days!). I have not played a round yet with the new clubs as I wanted to take David's advice and not get overly optimistic until I was pretty comfortable with the clubs. As soon as I play a round or 2, I will post my impressions and score!
