Subject: used 1 iron driver & 3 wood on golf trip

I went on a long weekend golf trip this past weekend in Northern Arizona. I played 3 rounds with my 1 irons, my 1 iron driver and my new 1 iron 3 wood. I was very surprized. I hit my driver high and long and very straight. I was aiming way away from bunkers and hazards and found I didn't need to. I can aim just left or right of the bunker and miss it! Hooray! I hit my 1 iron driver at least as far as my Taylormade Burner if not farther. I believe I was hitting the 3 wood longer than my Taylormade 3 wood.

My golfing partner is about a 6 handicap and I asked him to hit the 6 iron on one Par 3 he hit his 6 iron on. It was agbout 180 yards and he got closer to the pin with the 1 iron 6 iron. :-) Later on I had him try the driver and he hit it about the same as his, about 300 yards, but much higher. he said the loft was too much for him.

It was a great four days and I played very well. I can't wait until the 5 wood is available.

I am glad to hear of your success with your 1 Irons. Believe me when I say that it only gets better as your single swing becomes more and more ingrained.
