Subject: Great irons

I took advantage of 1 Iron Golf's current free shipping promotion and bought a full set of irons (#3 though LW) plus a #3 wood and driver. I got the Used/Demo set for $275 off the regular price and ended up saving about $405 with that and the free shipping. The clubs arrived in about 1 week and were in excellent condition. The high quality is the first thing you notice and they feel great.

I read some posts where it took a week or so to get used to using the same swing and so forth, but I hit all of the clubs great on the first trip to the range. I immediately picked up a few extra yards with all of the irons over my set of Callaways and I'm confident that after a few more range trips this will increase even more. These are the most accurate clubs I've ever played in my 45+ years of golfing and the ball just zings off of the clubface.

After only a couple of trips to the range I can truly say that I'll never go back to conventional irons again.

Derrick,

Hello to the land down under.

I took advantage of the free shipping as well and bought the same set make-up as you. Being 65 years of age and playing graphite shafts for the past ten years I was hesitant about steel shafted clubs. Let me assure you that my 1 Irons are the most comfortable playing clubs I've ever owned with no shock and very solid ball striking. Like you, I gained distance with all the clubs over my old set but it did take about five trips to the range before everything began to click as it took me some time to get used to using the same swing and ball position with every club. The Playability Tips are a godsend along with all the Swing Tips newsletters.

Like you, I'm hooked for life.

Geo.

Derrick: Glad you like the 1-Irons! I've been using mine for over a year now and, like George said, I was a little hesitant giving up the graphite shafts for the steel ones at my age (66). But, after just a few range trips, I found the 1-Irons were very easy to hit and very, very forgiving. I changed the grips this fall to the newer Avon grips and now I don't even need a glove to play - the new grips are really that good! I also teach golf to students with disabilities, and the 1-Irons are much easier for them to hit solid and accurately. Good luck to you and enjoy the finest clubs on the market today! R2

Hi Derrick

I live in Sydney and have had the whole set of irons and woods for a while now but have not used them much the last few months because of work and a recent illness.

I found accuracy improved a lot quickly but distance reduced initially. Accuracy with the short irons has been astounding and have holed out a number of times with the lob wedge. Once I learned to swing the clubs in the proper fashion distance improved. I still need to improve distance with 3 and 4 irons but I got the 5 and 7 woods to see me through til that time.

I have not seen anyone else playing 1irons in my part of the world what about you

All the best

Steve
