Mr. Lake,

I went into Goldsmith today and dropped off my set of 1 Irons to be re-gripped. The club maker was quite curious and said: "don't tell anyone I said this, but there isn't a single club in this store that can perform like your irons”. He said he knows all about 1 Iron Golf. He placed each iron on a scale, a measuring device, and a protractor and said to me that it’s damn near impossible to get clubs consistent like this. He said that Ping was the only club manufacturer that could reliably come close to what you make. I thought you might find that of interest.

Any idea how many WRAPS were underneath the original grip for the 1 irons? I want to redo mine but need to know how many wraps David uses...I loved the feel and feels perfect... David feel free to jump in here.

Jesse,

We do not use any wraps of build up tape under our grips. The grips themselves are 1/8" oversize with a reduced amount of taper.

bought 3-LW this summer when i decided to play more. I am not a new set every year person but have had a few sets over the years and must say the feel of these clubs make it easy to play better. Off center hits fly more true, no in a bucket at a 100 yards but better. Love to play this game and these clubs help me enjoy it more. plan to buy the woods this winter to complete the set to be ready for next season.
