Subject: 1 Iron Golf Clubs and golfTEC Lessons

Can anyone comment on taking lessons from a golfTEC center or any type of golf lessons? I am curious how to get enough "buy-in" from an instructor for whom the 1 Iron system is foreign and might complicate their normal instruction methods. It is about to get cold were I live and I thought Winter lessons and access to indoor range, swing video, and simulation would be valuable. I have been playing with 1 Irons for about 5 years now.

Golf Tec is a business they will take your money. But they are also in the business of selling equipment and make money fitting, and there are many Golf Tec's in Golf smith shop's now. You need to make it very clear what you expect as a good instructor will focus on your needs. As soon as they start belittling the 1iron clubs walk away.

Charlie; I've taught several students that play the 1-Irons and I play both them and the NOVA Hybrids. Drop me an e-mail when you can and I will do my best to put you in touch with an instructor that is both familiar with the 1-Irons and will work with your particular swing to come up with what works best for you. Take care, R2
