Subject: Chipping

During the winter I ran across a chipping technique. Face-On. Facing the target with a smooth pendulum motion. As the weather is finally warming up I've been practicing this with great results. With the 1 iron clubs it feels easy to switch to any club depending on the loft and roll desired. Good riddance to blading and stubbing.

When you say "Face-On," do you mean literally facing the target? That would mean that you have to swing with the club out to your side, or it implies that you would be swinging the club pendulum style, between your legs, like the putting style that was popular (very briefly) several years ago.
