Subject: Turkey Question

You all might remember that last fall some turkeys came to visit and stayed...the owner told me to do what I wanted to with them, so I took them to my sister's little farm.

We had a wonderful old BB turkey that died immediately after Katrina, but he was a guy turkey, so I know very little about girl turkeys.

This afternoon my sister called and she'd gotten her first turkey egg. So how often do they lay and for how long? Do they just lay enough for a clutch or what? I've got a little hen sitting, so I told Cathy I'd let her hatch a couple if she wanted to... Also, how long will it take to hatch?
