Melaleuca is not a scam!! I have been a customer for several months and I love the products. There is definitely an opportunity to make money but you have to be willing to approach family and friends to sign up. The products are all natural with tea tree oil and I have a cupboard full.

I PAID MY $34.95 A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, I'VE GOTTEN 2 SURVEYS OFFERING $2.00 EACH, BUT WAS REJECTED FOR BOTH!! I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THEM TO GET MY 'MONEY BACK GUARANTEE' BUT, WHEN YOU TRY THEY DON'T HAVE A PHONE #, AND WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS [THE ONE THEY SENT THE SURVEYS TO] AND YOUR PASSWORD, [I HAVE IT WRITTEN DOWN], THE SITE SAYS THAT IT'S INCORRECT AND WON'T LET YOU IN TO THE PLACE TO SEND A MESSAGE! YOU CAN'T CONTACT THEM AFTER THEY GET YOUR MONEY!!!

I HAVE TRIED ALL THE TOP RATED SURVEY SITES, AND I HAVE NOT MADE ANY MONEY!! THIS IS NO WAY TO TRY AND MAKE A LIVING! THE ONE THAT SAID I COULD EARN $30.00 ENDED UP COSTING ME $15.00 IN SHIPPING & HANDLING FOR THEIR 'FREE' OFFERS THEY FORCE YOU TO TAKE TO COMPLETE THE SURVEY. AND, I NEVER HAVE GOTTEN THE $30.00!!! DON'T SURVEY!!!

[> Why fall for scams like surveyscout when you can get it free -- Shaj, 08:28:49 09/18/05 Sun

Surveyscout of course is a rip off. What it does is provide a list of survey companies. You can join them and these survey companies send you paid surveys. Surveyscout does not send surveys.
Paying $35 for that list is a waste because it is available for free. And these real survey companies are actually looking for people to join, they don't ask you money.
Another aspect is that you cannot get rich by taking surveys. You can earn some extra money alright. Typically you get paid $2 to 20 per survey completed. Sometimes it si points or sweepstakes. You may get 1 to 4 surveys per month. An average person should consider himself lucky if he get $100 per month.
Now for a good site which gives a nice list of all the best survey companies, visit this site: Internet Paid Surveys. You have nothing to lose, after all they don't ask for your money!

[> Survey Scout -- ok4utonv, 20:43:13 12/19/05 Mon

I joined Survey Scout sometime in the beginning of this month and haven't received any kind of cash like promised. I joined over 50 sites in three days and haven't received anything but chances to win in drawings or other sites where I fill out a survey and wouldn't you know, I didn't qualify for?! Go figure. Save your $35. TRUST ME. This site is a scam. The person who suggest that you can make $1000 or more a month is the one making the money not you.

I'm not making anything on Survey Scout but I've been with two sites that pay you for reading your email and I've made more money off of them than I have taking surveys. They are:
http://www.dayseeking.net/pages/index.php?refid=nvd2ceb4

and

http://www.123makesummoney.com?refer=3584

You won't get rich but you'll be making some cash. And that's the honest truth.

Michael - Survey Spot is not a scam. Log on to their site and look at your account. If you have completed surveys for them, you will have money in your account but you have to request your pay out. It is not sent automatically.

I found over $80.00 dollars there from surveys I did 2 years ago. You can expect to get your check in about 3 to 4 weeks after you request it. I thought they would just send the money, too but was very excited when I found it in my account.

Good Luck!

I am glad to have found this site and found out how many other people has lost money to Survey Scout. Those kind of companies need to go out of business if that is all they do is rip people off. I thank each and every one for letting me know that I didn't make a mistake on spending money for something that didn't make any money whatsoever.

[> Scams -- Mitch, 12:22:08 08/05/06 Sat

Yeah most online survey sites are a scam.
Here's a big tipoff. If they ask you to pay money (NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT SOUNDS) there's most likely a 99.9999 % chance that it's a scam.

I signed up for Survey Platinum and payed like 35 dollars. Useless. Most of the links they had were outdated or easily findable doing a google search.

A good idea would be to do a yahoo search of the company like ie. "survey platinum scams" and see what pops up. I wish I had done that, It would have saved me a lot of trouble.

After searching and searching I did manage to find two companies which were ledgit.
http://www.Mysurvey.com : gives you points for completing surveys which you can redeem for cash. $10 at a time. With this site it takes a while to make 10,000 points to add up to $10 but I took 1 or 2 surveys a day when they were available and a few weeks later suddenly realized I had $10. Which was nice. Not like $100 an hour which other companies claim. Also it costs no money to sign up.

Another site is http://www.treasuretrooper.com/137534
I have been a member of this site for 2 weeks and I currently have Total Amount Due: 46.65 They pay you to sign up for free newsletters, surveys, etc... everything from 40 cents to $1.00 (these are for signing up with survey companies and partially comleting those sites where they offer you TVs and $350 gift cards for completing 3 "incentive offers". You don't have to complete the incentive offers though to get credited for the money) to $5.00 to $50.00.(the higher payed offers do require credit cards, although gift card visa and mastercards are acceptedd. These higher offers are for signing up for companies like, Blockbuster for a 2 week trial, you can cancel before that time and not get charged but still receive your money)
After each offer that you complete, you have the opportunity to win a virtual 'pearl...' If you collect 8 you get 2 free referrals Referrals earn you 20% in addition to what they earn... so if they make $100, they get $100 and you get $20 on top of that. The pearls and gems make the site a lot of fun. And the forums help with info and such (make sure to read the forum)
There are also many cash contests on the forums, and every month or so there is a 'Treasure Hunt' on the forums where you can win prizes. It also does not cost any money to sign up to this site.
I highly recommend this site for the amount of effort you have to put in.

[> It a scam -- Ajnin, 01:51:18 03/12/07 Mon

They've gone through a lot of trouble. They have created "consumer watchdog" sites that have supposedly tried many other sites and of course have found every site except the ones they are scamming you with as fraudulent. If you want to make money on the web create your own business and web site.
