I am now in Taiwan on a visitor's visa, but I need to change to an ARC (Resident Visa) /Work Permit soon. Trouble is, I don't know if my previous employer's cut off my Work Permit - I was away for a while, so they should have - but that's no guarantee. Is there any way I can find that out without the authorities finding out I am looking for work on a visitor's visa and possibly causing me hassles? How can I find out? If the employer hasn't, then what could I do about it?
