Dear Mr.Yxxx,

I would like to thank you for speaking with me at length this morning regarding the following matter of concern.

After a telephone message of apology as well as a very long email apology (both of which Mr. Sxxx confirmed receiving), I received a telephone call from Mr. Sxxx "as a gesture of good faith....to show no hard feelings....to show I will give you the benefit of the doubt". I was assured repeatedly in an unsolicited manner by Mr. Sxxx that, "Taipei will not be made aware of this misunderstanding, it will in no way affect your interview or status, and you will be treated absolutely the same as any other applicant.....I am just removing myself because I think we would both feel more comfortable that way".

In that phone call I repeatedly apologized to Mr. Sxxxx for unintentionally causing his emotional distress e.g. "I must admit that I feel extremely offended by your accusations and you should be more considerate with your choice of words when speaking to people and especially prospective employers."

In that phone call Mr. Sxxxx said he felt I accused him of contradicting himself, which I made clear that I absolutely had not. I was simply asking questions in an environment that appeared to be honest and "forthcomming".

From my conversation with you as of 5am New York time I came to the understanding that Mr. Sxxxx discussed his personal feelings with you at length. Mr. Sxxxx expounded upon his various misconceptions about my attitude toward him and Hess Educational Organization and strongly urged you not to interview me. Mr. Sxxxx made absolutely no mention of my appreciation for Hess, nor it's legitimacy at all. As a result of Mr. Sxxxx's impassioned pleas, you sent me an email containing the following passages, "While we thank you for applying with Hess Educational Organization, we are concerned about your suitability for joining our teaching team in Taiwan. If you cannot place your trust in us, the largest employer of internationals in Taiwan, the largest private English educational organization in Taiwan, and your potential employer, who works with the Taiwan government offices, then we believe you will not be happy working with us. We appreciate the time and effort you took to apply with our Organization, and we wish you well as you continue to search for employment ".

Ironically or not, Mr. Sxxxx clearly lied to me about my opportunity to be interviewed and it being "completely untainted" by his personal emotional issues. In fact, in an email he sent preceding his reassuring telephone call he wrote, "I have decided that it would be better for me to refer your application to our Taipei office for an interview instead of proceeding with it myself. They will be in contact with you very shortly to schedule an appropriate time." As you can see by that email and by what I am telling you followed that email in a phone call designed to be deceptive, Mr. Sxxxx completely mislead me on what to expect from Taipei's Branch Office.

Mr. Sxxxx's behavior while unprofessional and upsetting, has not at all soured me on Hess. I am the exact variety of teacher I would think Hess wants to attract. I am passionate, precise, and I have long term intentions. I made Mr. Sxxxx quite aware that I had been with illegal schools in Taiwan. In one school I actually had two escape routes and one was through a closet into a fortune teller's store where I was to escape out to the street. Someone that actually has lived the horror of Taiwan is the best suited to appreciate Taiwan's largest and most legitimate school, and such appreciation can not wane. I made Mr. Sxxxx aware of my intentions to teach with Hess for at least two years with an eye toward teacher training, recruitment, or any other higher paying positions that may be available within the Organization. I can only speculate that Mr. Sxxxx blackballed me out of some personal vendetta or agenda. It simply makes no sense to pass his behavior off as professional, or unintentional.

Although appalled and outraged by Mr. Sxxxx's behavior and detailed lies and spins regarding his pending briefing to you on my status have indeed cast a dark cloud over my perception of Mr. Smith, I understand that one bad apple does not spoil the bunch and I harbor absolutely no ill will toward Hess or yourself Mr. Ymith. I am just as passionate about the opportunity that I could have had to be interviewed, before I was enlightened to my exclusion from that opportunity, by your email and our conversation early this morning. I appreciate your attention to this matter and I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

As per our conversation this morning I have mailed you the full text in original email form, from which the above quotations have been selected.
