The Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) announced yesterday that it will soon set up a service center at Chiang Kai-shek International Airport to handle complaints by foreign laborers.
The announcement comes in the wake of criticism from a labor organization in the Philippines that a Taiwan factory had condoned its security guards using force against four Filipino laborers who organized a strike to protest against the management's unreasonable wage cuts. The laborers were then deported."

Unfortunately this center will not have the authority to overturn illegal, non judicial deportations by the occupational government on Taiwan.
