When I heard your girlfriend
had taken her own life
it almost ruined the rest of my day
so I walked around and visualized
a gun, a razor, a noose, a pill.

Had she slipped away silently
or did she let loose
the anger that obviously built
up inside of her regret
plays no part except in your eyes
I see the smile covering
hours of tear falling and still
not knowing when this will fade
I wish I could express
the pain I carry from two loves
lost in much the same way
but I realize the path you walk
is best alone or atleast
with a true friend -- I
just wanted to be an open ear.
