I have decided since there are so many forms, that I would start doing this weekly instead of monthly. This months form is the Roundelay. The roundelay is any simple lyric thta utilizes a refrain. The poet John Dryden invented a complex, set form. It has 24 lines, turning on two rhymes, in four sestet stanzas. Except for lines one and two of the first stanza, lines three and four of the fourth stanza, all lines are repotons or refrains, each reappearing at least once elsewhere in the poem, in certain order. Lines can be of any meter or length.
