Subject: Proper prop sizing

I have just finished renovating a 1955 26' CCSS. I changed engines.. from "m" 130 hp to a Chevy small block 350, about 285 hp. I'm swinging the original 10" prop. Does anyone know if I should switch to a bigger prop. I would really like to do the change if need be on dry land. Any Ideas???? Thanks.

I have 1965 CC Cutlass 327f I'm running Michigan 13x13 cupped prop. This is a great prop for this boat

Iassume the 10" referencce in your Question is the pitch and not the diameter. Your 350 will overmatch the existing 13 x 10 wheel. A 13 x 12 or 13 x 13 would be a better match
