Subject: 政府處理非法填泥拖足八年長

2000年8月期間，位於沙田頭路，行人路旁的一段政府小斜坡7SW-DF438被非法填平，當中包括填平了在斜坡之下的一條屬於渠務署管理的雨水渠及兩個集水沙井，雨水渠長度約有一百呎長，該幅堆填泥土高度有三米多高，總面積約有兩個標準籃球場相約大小，範圍當中大部份屬於政府土地，30%屬於私人農地，造成一幅非法堆泥人造斜坡，高度與該處原有鄉村住所二樓高度相差不多。「因為該條鄉村的地理位置較行車公路水平線為低，相距有三米半之高度距離」。2001年7月時侯，沙田地政處有警告信件通知村民，發信人
信中指出該幅堆填泥土為非法工程。但沒有再進一步行動，亦沒有把非法填泥位置地段設置圍欄及豎立警告告示牌，地政總署明顯並沒有切實執行土地雜項條例所賦予的法定權力，以防止外人佔用官地及作出檢控行動。
