I think that religion is a great thing in many ways. It gives people strength when they need it, and encourages people to do good things. I think that organized religion can be good too, it emphasizes unity and all that. I guess my problem is with blind faith. It's like this quote i heard somewhere, "If you're blinded by the faith, you cannot see the light." faith is fine, but it's gotta be tempered with reason and personal conscience. Otherwise, people could corrupt religion for their own goals. People with little will get manipulated into doing things that are contrary to the benefits of religion. It could make them feel scared instead of safe, or want to hurt others instead of help them. I think religion's best if you personalize it so it's what gives you the most comfort, and keep your own mind so you can't be fooled or manipulated. Religion's as bad as you make it.

PS The fact that people have such total faith in the strictest interpretations of the Bible is wack. Too many people seem to forget that it's a bunch of oral tradition passed down many generations, then written down in another language, and translated by royalty.
