Does the Bible refer to eternity or our life on the earth? If it refered to our earthly life I would agree with you. But from my reading of the Bible it seems that it refers to our eternal soul. The Bible never says Christianity will be easy or fun. In fact it promises persecution and hardship to the followers of Christ. It says that while evil men may prosper on the earth they will be eternally punished and while the followers of Christ may have hardship on earth, if they preservere they will be eternally rewarded (look at the book of Job). It seems that your dislike of religion stems from a basic lack of education pertaining to the Scriptures. If only you had actually read your Bible you would realize that most of your preconceptions regarding Christianity are false. Don't sell your soul for false beliefs, learn the truth.
