Subject: Dixieland Dolls & Darlings Open State Pageant

Hi to all my pageant friend in the Northwest. Just wanted to know if the Northwest is going to be represented at Dixieland Open State Pageant for the West Coast. Looks like it will be a good pageant with several states being represented, have talked to pageant moms from AZ, NV, CO, NO. CA., & So. CA. Hope to see some of our friends from Wa. & OR. there also. Also wanted to wish the girls who are competing this weekend at GG good luck. See ya at Dixieland.

Beginning to think there are not any pageant people in the N/W anymore.

Unlike other states that have pageants EVERY weekend!

[> Dixieland had a pageant in Oregon less than a year ago. It was my understanding that she is still coming back.... why would people travel to CA when they can do the same pageant closer to home? There are plenty of pageants in the area to keep most satisfied..... They can win the same $$ and prizes that they could win traveling to another state... but save on the travel expenses... -- So... why should they travel? Or be looked down upon for not traveling?, Thursday, February 05, 11:22:02am

In answer to why travel for same prizes and incur the extra expense. Sometines its just fun to go sowhere out of your own area. Since this is an open state pageant and there are people competing from AZ, NV, Co, NO. & So. CA, & WA, and there would be more competition it just seemed like a good pageant to go to.

But why deal with the expense and stress from all that when we can do pageant systems right here in the NW that we feel are better and offer less suprises (door entrys that count as points for overall scores). Yes, I know the director is saying that the door entry thing will not happen this time around but a lot of people got very upset when she did it hear before.
