Thank you Tom & Val, and Bob, for your kind comments. Now for a few of my own:

Firstly, in answer to Tom & Val, I gave serious thought before deleting the SNUPIE (only one "P", please!) Gallery but, as I was not intending to accept new pictures (for the reasons given on the site) I felt that SNUPIE was getting rather stale. So rather than wait until everyone was sick of the same old pictures, I decided to delete the gallery. Other reasons included the fact that I had no way of knowing if the people appearing in the pictures were still willing to do so and, finally, that in these strange times in the UK where nudity still seems by many quite wrongly to be equated with sex, I felt the Gallery might be 'taken the wrong way'.

Regarding Bob's points: I am no less keen on promoting the SCN 'ideals' but, again, there are always the few people who seem intent on causing problems for the many who enjoy the facilities provided - eg the Chat Room being 'hijacked' by troublemakers, causing me to have to close it, thus spoiling the facility many had enjoyed.

Being a club Organiser has its moments of enjoyment but, for the most part, it is a huge slog - especially when only about 20% of the membership bothered to attend the many naturist get togethers my SCN Secretarty and I took many hours to organise. In the end you ask yourself: "Why am I doing all this?" and realise that it really is a bit of a mug's game!

So, after five successful years, and on 'retiring' to beautiful Dorset, I felt it was the right time to quit. However, if you or anyone else would like to take up the baton and organise meetings, newsletters, etc, I would be more than happy to promote the new group by including pages about it on this SCN website which I hope to keep going for some while to come.

Smooth regards, and thanks once again.

John (SCN Webmaster)
