hey all... can you see the word 'noobie' written on my forehead ?!? he*2
this is actually my first post here. i first read carrots-and-celery on nifty
(which haven't been updated for a while now, but i'm not complaining... that was not a complaint by the way)
then someone on dabeagle (or was it somewhere else... hmm... can't really remember) mention this message-board here (although this doesn't look like any kind of board that i've seen. first, this board doesn't distract me
as much as those billboard-ads i see all around the streets of jakarta. and also, it doesn't have a pair of those retractable legs like the ones you can find on a foldable-ironing-board ? what's up with that ?!?)
ack, that was a tad too long for an opening... (now, can you see the word 'looser' written on my forehead ?!?)
oh well... sorry bout that.

ok, your favourite 'carrots-and-celery' chapter :

mine would be the second snapshot of the 'on the road' series. (he*3 it's not even a chapter... oh well)
in which carrots talked abouth death/dying (how morbid is that ? that's why he always fascinates me)
and kyle reminded him that he's not the narrator to some angsty teenage drama ?
i guess it kinda brings carrots' character closer to the reader and pulling (er... pushing ?!?) the other 'co-stars' further away to a point where it seems
that i (as the reader) am outside looking in to their lifes.
i honestly love it... i always feel like i'm there in the same room as carrots as he lives his life 24/7
(except when time starts to move really fast everytime carrots is having sex he*3 'that was not a complaint' either)... to be where carrots is... during the proposal, his first kiss, whenever he starts to freak out... and even peek into his head once in a while when he's being totaly honest with himself... (voyeur! voyeur! he*2)
tho' i (may) never find out what's actually happenin in the twins' life
(are they really havin sex... with one another ? or is it 'each other'...
trully sorry, english is not my first language... i'm from indonesia by the way.
ha*2 yea i know... that chapter 18 was a spoof, but karla managed to keep all of the the characters
speaking in-character which makes it a job well done nonetheless. and it's hilarious... colin's sudden appearance at the front door didn't surprise me as much as whenever celery, kyle, jonas, etc magically appears behind carrots in all the 'real' chapters tho'... hmm... i wonder why... maybe because it's being a parody so i expect things like that will happen eventually)
or kara's or celery's when carrots is not there to 'eavesdrop' or 'meddle' (uhm... bad choice of words ?) with their lifes.

is it right if i say that the world of carrots-and-celery is never black nor white ?
that's why it's often pretty hard to know who's wrong and who's right (hey, that rhymes).
hope things will workout with those two... and i also hope that saul is not gay... i wonder what'll happen if the tables are turned and carrots becomes the jealous possesive husband... ack... more drama... i like :)

hey karla, i've read the preppie and the punk (chapter 1 to 5) sometime ago.
and did you say that there's another story that you wrote way back when,
and it was called the-something-and-something... ack i can't remember... sorry...
but when i went to 'gurlpages' to check it out it's not there anymore, sigh :( the site is no longer running

i totaly dig (? not the best choice of word but... can you blame me for the lack of vocabulary) the title
of the carrots-and-celery story
it sounds pretty kinky... ooh baybee (as in baby carrots) but i'm just not into celeries
because 'it just tastes like water and leaves a gross film in your mouth when you're done'

oh another thing... is it possible to post some pictures of the neighborhood where carrots lives and the school etc... ?
i've never been to canada and am not planning to go anywhere overseas in the near future because it's just not in the budget.
and can you believe that i actually forgot how carrots, kyle, the twins, and kara look like
(i vaguely remember how jonas looked like and so far i kinda like the way celery looked like in my head he*2.
oh and everytime i tried to picture carrots... the image of one zany orange-haired comedian called carrot-top pops up instead
ack).

okay okay last one... regarding the 'on the road' series... i know it's a long drive, thanks for keeping us all (i shouldn't speak for other people but...) entertained, karla. cheers. oh that was carrots' line (sort of) from the second snapshot of the 'on the road' series by the way he*2 my favourite non-chapter chapter. now it's time for me to shutthehellup. mmph...
