Subject: My daughter and I drove there several times and flew there too
In reply to: CC 's message, "Question for those of you who travel to Colorado for feising... more" on 16:30:36 03/07/17 Tue

Even though the drive was very long (13 hours) the scenery was gorgeous and it gave you time to acclimate to the altitude. Whenever we flew it was more problematic. We learned that if we were going to fly to Colorado to make sure we got there at least one day before the feis so we could acclimate. For example at my daughter's very first Preliminary competition in Denver she got 2nd place. The first time we flew out and didn't give ourselves time to acclimate she didn't do very well.

All in all we had a blast and made a lot of great memories in Colorago. Give it a try, it's fun.

  • Thanks all! Most feisanna are at least 3 hours away, with most 6 hours. Thought we'd go a little further just for variety and fun. Appreciate the input! (NT) -- CC, 09:06:34 03/08/17 Wed
