Subject: Prelims who have met the standard and stay have not broken a single rule. I concur with AP - if you can't beat them in prelim how do you think it will change in OC? If you are frustrated by a particular dancer winning, and don't have confidence you can beat him/her - then feis away from your area or skip feisanna you know he/she will attend.
In reply to: - 's message, "In the same vein, why don't we let placing open dancers compete in prelim? Because they have met the opens standard.. as have prelims who have won 10+ times. No one feises more than a prelim dancer trying to get those firsts. So yes, they are costing others money." on 19:32:10 03/12/17 Sun

Honestly, if your position is correct then every dancer that beats yours in the placements is "costing others money" - because then it becomes "my dd can't get top 3 because of thus and so", "dd can't get top 5 because of her", or "dd couldn't get placed because this kid did ahead of her". It is an attitude that will trickle down to your dancer and ultimately affect how he/she works for placements, or views the sport. Personal responsibility - it is MY job to work hard enough to be able to beat all comers and earn that first.
