Subject: Our experience when a dancer transfers is they are friendly at first and then start bashing the school they left which of course causes bad feelings all the way around.

  • I don't see those comments by themselves as bad mouthing. For that particular dancer, that might really be the case. If you do get upset when you hear those comments, stop and think why. Is it because it makes you question your own choice and that is what is upsetting? (NT) -- think about it, 10:08:14 04/06/17 Thu
  • I'm not the one who posted before you; however, I can tell you that it bothers us and not because it makes us question our own choice. It bothers us because we are very happy with our school and TC and really don't understand why someone feels the need to bash a TC or school after they have left (or while they are there). They are making the assumption that everyone is dissatisfied because they are. It makes for an unpleasant interaction. That's why we don't like the comments. (NT) -- x, 10:17:44 04/06/17 Thu
  • Just as in the work world, within an inductry you don't badmouth a prior employer after you leave. It gives you a bad reputation. If you speak ill of one person, you'll speak ill of another. Likewise - if you leave a school, move on and enjoy whee you are, and thank the prior TC for getting you to where you were before leaving. bb (NT) -- True class shows, 11:57:16 04/06/17 Thu
