Homewood Suites includes breakfast in the rate. Hilton Garden Inn does not unless you have a special rate that includes breakfast. I've purchased the Garden Inn breakfasts before and found them worth the money. For both hotels, check the start time on breakfast. They usually begin Sunday breakfast service at 7am, I don't recall the Saturday hours.

Homewood Suites have pretty much a full kitchen (microwave, stovetop, full size refrigerator) so you can bring in your own food if you want. Hilton Garden Inn rooms are usually a bit nicer, but the rooms have only a microwave & minifridge.

I've stayed at both in the past (Hilton Honors silver level) and like them both. Which one I choose depends on my mood at the time.
