Author: Concerned mom
Subject: I do think this is a valid concern about stages and such. The NAFC makes rules but the judges can override any rule they chose. I have been to too many feis where the dancers can't kick because of a wal, or the stage is so slippery or no one sweeps the stage which is litered with gems so kids fall. Safety needs to be a bigger concern but everyone just accepts that this is the way it is.

Replies:

  • Yes, the stages were smaller than our dancers our accustomed to - but the feis committee had to work with the space they were given. The larger problem is dancers who lack control and choreography that promotes hurling oneself blindly across the stage - more inside. -- -, 06:19:24 10/02/17 Mon
  • ugh, "are" accustomed to, auto correct (NT) -- -, 06:21:18 10/02/17 Mon
