Subject: Scoring question

I thought I had a handle on the complexities of how preliminary championship comps are scored, but this weekend I realized I need to do some research - and I haven't been able to find an article that addresses my exact question, despite reading up on the Irish point system again.

From this weekend's competition, judge A ranked the two rounds 9 and 9 (out of 14), judge B 8 and 10, and judge C 11 and 9. Somehow, though, the overall ranking at the end of irish point tabulation was 14 out of 14.

Can someone kindly explain why the overall ranking wouldn't be somewhere in the 9-10 range? I can't figure out why she would be dead last when none of the judges rankings were dead last for either round.

Thanks in advance!
