I was referring to the value of each rank in Irish Points. If 1st place is 100 points, why does 2nd place drop to 75 pts and so forth? The issue really becomes obvious in larger competitions where one judge is an outlier. Rather than having a conversion system, why not get rid of the way judges score and make things more objective like they do in gymnastics and figure skating? This many points for excellent timing, this many for turnout and so forth. It would get rid of the issues with the judges that harp on one or two things and don't care about the entire package. There are so many better ways to do this than the Irish Points system that is outdated.
