Subject: Hope for the white Dobes!!!

Word is,
that DPCA is submitting to their membership, a proposed
standard change to be voted on. If the membership approves the changes proposed, then it will be submited to AKC for
their approval. Most likely the changes that DPCA membership will be asked to vote on will be minor word changes, such as the word 'normally' as in, 'ears normally cropped'.

But.......... at the time of this revision proposal, the AKC has the right to force DPCA to accept any of their revisions or desires also. Do I have your attention?

One thing that can be expected, is that docked
or cropped breeds that, for any reason, submit an application for a standard change could be forced to eliminate cropping and docking from it's
standard . . . plus any other revisions that the AKC is pushing.

Cropping and docking isn't going to change doberman genetics- and whether undocked/uncropped dogs are admitted into the showring is not the issue here.

What is important, is to recognise the opportunity that is going to be opening up, for rewording of the
standard, to include the white Doberman in the conformation ring! Did you get that?

There are new Doberman people who have come into
the breed in the last decade or so, who do not agree with
the past exclusion of whites from the showring. As soon as the DPCA submits their proposed changes to AKC, it will be time for us to act! At that time, we encourage everybody reading this,to phone, fax and e-mail all AKC Officals, asking that the white Doberman be INCLUDED in the new
Doberman standard.

Please, feel free to repost and crosspost
this message to all white doberman messageboards and lists, also, please copy & paste then privately send this message
to all owners & breeders of whites.
